Taunggyi – Kakku –Yangon (12 Days / 11 Nights)
Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Shwe
Kainnayi Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to
hotel. Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal
barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop. Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining
Buddha) Pagoda is a colossal reclining Buddha. Visit to the city
centre with the gilded 2500 years Sule Pagoda. And visit
colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then
drive to stroll through a narrow street of China Town including
the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the
107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in
the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in
Yangon.
Day 02: Yangon – Bago – Yangon (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, day return trip to Bago. Visit to
Kyaikpun four seated Buddha images. Kyakhatwine Monastery, where
a thousand of monks who take their last meal of the day at 10 am
in total silence, Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King
Bayinnaung, Shwemawdaw pagoda, Shwethalyaung pagoda, the world’s
most beautiful reclining Buddha, Wood carving Industry and Bago
local Market. Drive back to Yangon and on the way visit to World
War II Allied War Grave Cemetery near Taukkyaunt. Overnight at
hotel in Yangon.
Day 03: Yangon – Mandalay (by flight and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport and flight to
Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay and check in to hotel. Mandalay
full day sightseeing; visit to Mahamuni Image, Tapestry making
home cottage, Marble carving workshop, Gold-leaf Beating
workshop, silk weaving home cottage, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large
Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw
Monastery (Golden Palace) noted for its exquisite wood carving,
Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world’s Biggest Book for its stones
slabs of Buddhist scriptures, Sulamani Pagoda. Mandalay Palace
and in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 04: Mandalay – Mingun – Sagaing sightseeing (by car &
boat excursion)
After breakfast at hotel, depart Mandalay on a private boat
along the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village on the
west bank of the river. Visit to Mingun Pathotawgyi, the world
renowned ringing Mingun Bell, Myatheintan Pagoda and surrounding
village.
Then proceed to Sagaing Hill – known as the center for
meditation. Hill sides are dotted with numerous pagodas and
Monasteries. Visit to Khaungmudaw Pagoda, Soon U Ponya Shin
Pagoda, Pottery Making village and Silver-smith workshop. In the
evening enjoy the sunset from Sagaing Hill. Return to Mandalay.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 05: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) – Mandalay (by
car)
After breakfast at hotel, day return trip to Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo).
East of Mandalay, one and half hour drive are the foothills of
the Shan Plateau. Those seeking for escape from the sweltering
heat of Mandalay, formerly known as Maymyo. Sightseeing place of
interest are: National Kandawgyi Park, Chinese temple, Pwe Kauk
Water fall and Peik Chin Myaung Cave. In the evening drive back
to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 06: Mandalay – Bagan (by express boat and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty for the boat trip
to Bagan. Transfer to hotel and free at leisure. Overnight at
hotel in Bagan.
Day 07: Bagan full day sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, Bagan full day sightseeing includes
visit to the colorful of Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda and
its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its
fine plaster carvings and glazed and stone decoration,
Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes.
Visit to Myinkabar village and observe the process of
Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar’s best known
handicrafts. Ananda Temple, an architected masterpiece of the
early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images.
Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan. Dhammayangyi
Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the
site from the supper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at
hotel in Bagan.
Day 08: Bagan – Heho – Inle lake (by flight, car & boat)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport and flight to
Heho. Proceed to Inle lake and check in to hotel. Visit to
Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, floating Gardens, Unique Leg-rowers,
Traditional Fishing Method, Silk Weaving, Stilt House villages
on the lake and Nge Pe Chaung so called “ Jumping cat’s
monastery” . Overnight at hotel in Inle lake.
Day 09: Inle lake – Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle (by boat & car)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kalaw and sightseeing;
proceed to Pindaya, through picturesque scenery. Visit Pindaya
cave, Pindaya lakes; home base paper making and umbrella making
industry. Return to Inle lake. Overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 10: Inle – Taunggyi – Kakku – Taunggyi (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Taunggyi. Capital of Shan
State Taunggyi is a pine clad hill station. The weather is cool
all year round and the winter months can be quite cold at night.
The Local Market is well known through out Myanmar. Proceed to
Kakku, a unique temple complex of more than 2000 stupas has lied
hidden in the Pa-O heartland of southern Shan State of
centuries. Overnight at hotel in Taunggyi.
Day 11: Taunggyi – Heho - Yangon (by flight and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for fly back to
Yangon. Arrive Yangon and transfer to hotel. Free at leisure.
Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 12: Shopping & departure (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, morning shopping at Gems mart and
Handicraft shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market where
you can buy many souvenirs .And then transfer to airport for
departure.
