Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Shwe Kainnayi Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop. Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda is a colossal reclining Buddha. Visit to the city centre with the gilded 2500 years Sule Pagoda. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of China Town including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon Full day sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel, morning tour, visit to Botataung Pagoda, Nanthida jetty and watch the traffic on the Yangon River, Here luxury cruise liners come to berth at this jetty quite often and National Museum. Afternoon tour visit to Kaba Aye (World Peace ) pagoda, Mahapasana Cave and Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda and Glass making. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 03: Yangon – Mandalay (by flight and car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport and flight to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay and check in to hotel. Mandalay full day sightseeing; visit to Mahamuni Image, Tapestry making home cottage, Marble carving workshop, Gold-leaf Beating workshop, silk weaving home cottage, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace) noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world’s Biggest Book for its stones slabs of Buddhist scriptures, Sulamani Pagoda. Mandalay Palace and in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 04: Mandalay – Amarapura – Mingun (by car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, excursion to Amarapura, visit Mahagandayon Monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study, visit to U Bein Bridge. There you can take a walk over the world’s longest teakwood bridge.
Then proceed to Mingun by private boat along the Ayeyarwaddy River. A village on the west bank of the river. Visit to Mingun Pahtotawgyi, the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell, Myatheintan Pagoda and surrounding village. In the evening return to Mandalay and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 05: Mandalay – Sagaing – Inwa (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to Sagaing; Sagaing Hill known as the center for meditation. Hill sides are dotted with numerous Pagodas and Monasteries. Visit to Khaungmudaw Pagoda, Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda, Pottery Making village and Silver – smith workshop.

Then proceed to Inwa, another ancient capital, known as the kingdom of Inwa during the second Myanmar Empire. It is a small town south of Amarapura. The sites to see in Inwa include Nan Myint Watch Tower, Maha Aungmyae Bonzan Monastery, Bagaya Monastery, and Inwa Bridge spanning the Ayeyarwaddy River. Return to Mandalay and overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 06: Mandalay – Bagan (by express boat & car)

Early morning breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty. A whole day boat trip to Bagan, while you can riding the activities on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River, you will arrive in Bagan on late afternoon, Bagan is the first and most beautiful capital of the Burmese, founded in the eleventh century by a great king. Along with Ankor in Cambodia, this is the most important temple and pagoda complex in Asia. Check in and overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 07: Bagan full day sightseeing (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, for sightseeing includes; visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes. Visit to Myinkaba Village and observe the process of Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Ananda Temple, and architectural masterpiece of the early- style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 08: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Bagan (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, they will stroll through the market place Nyuang U, and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of Burmese people, then drive through the sun-parched plain with Palmyra palms to the Mountain of
Deities, Mt. Popa. There climb the huge volcanic rock on a staircase to see shrines for nats (celestial spirits of Burmese mythology) and small Temples for Lord Buddha. It will take them about 20 minutes to reach the top of mount Popa. After lunch, return drive to Bagan: proceed to Lawkananda Pagoda in the very soothe of Bagan , a landmark of Ayeyarwaddy-fisherman .Sunset over Bagan from one of the pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 09: Bagan – Heho – Taunggyi – Kakku – Nyaungshwe (by flight, car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for fly to Heho and drive to Taunggyi. Capital of Shan State Taunggyi is a pine hill station. The weather is cool all year round and the winter months can be quite night. The local Market is well known throughout Myanmar. Proceed to Kakku, a temple complex of more than 2000 stupas has lied hidden in the Pa-O heartland of Southern Shan State of centuries. Return back to Inle lake. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 10: Inle lake full day sightseeing (by boat)

After breakfast at hotel, boat trip excursion at Inle lake ; includes blacksmith and silversmith workshop, floating islands, Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, Unique leg-rowers, Tradition fishing methods and silk weaving. Then visit to Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, so called “jumping cats monastery”. Overnight at hotel in Inle lake.

Day 11: Inle – Pindaya sightseeing (by boat & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Nyaung Shwe by boat and drive to Pindaya. Visit to ; Pindaya caves are set deep in the hillsides and there stands at the entrance, a 15 meter high Shwe U Min cave. Pindaya lake, home base paper making and umbrella making industry. Overnight at hotel in Pindaya.

Day 12: Pindaya – Heho – Yangon – Bago (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Heho airport and fly back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and proceed to Bago. Overnight at hotel in Bago.

Day 13: Bago – Kyaikhtiyo (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to Kyakhatwine Monastery, where a thousand of monks who take the meal of the day at 10:am in total silence and Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung. Then continue to Kinpun, the pilgrimage road runs 10 kilometers to the 1200 meter high pagoda on the famous Golden Rock. You will be transported on a truck to a camp from which it is only approximately one hour on foot to the Golden Rock. First visit to the Golden Rock in the soft light of late afternoon. The best time for taking pictures there. Overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 14: Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) – Bago – Yangon

After breakfast at hotel, take a half hour walk to small cave. Also stop at the roadside shops for rare product of jungle, Midmorning, drive down to the base camp and return to Yangon. On the way visit most important sights of this old capital of the Mon People. Visit to Bago sightseeing: Shwemawdaw Pagoda and Shwethalyaung Pagoda (the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha). Then visit to Handicraft Centre, Hinthargone Pagoda, Cheroot Workshop, Weaving factory in Mon village, Chinese Temple and Pottery Sheds. Drive back to Yangon and overnight at hotel in Yangon.
 

Day 15: Shopping & departure

After breakfast at hotel, morning at Gems mart and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport to departure.
