Yangon – Sittwe – Mrauk U – Sittwe - Yangon (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Shwe Kainnayi Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop. Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda is a colossal reclining Buddha. Visit to the city centre with the gilded 2500 years Sule Pagoda. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of China Town including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon – Sittwe – Mrauk U (by flight, car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for fly to Sittwe. On arrival Sittwe airport, transfer to jetty for departure to Mrauk U by private boat. It will take 5 to 7 hours (depending on river current and boat) to get Mrauk U.On arrival at Mrauk U jetty, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 03: Mrauk U full day sightseeing (by car)

Early morning, after breakfast at hotel and visit to Mrauk U Market, have a look ways of like of rural people and then archeological museum in which there are ancient stones slab and glaze as well as a model of Mrauk U attached with palace site. Proceed to Koethaung Pagoda (90,000 Buddha Images) surrounded by paddy field and visit to Pisei Pagoda. This pagoda belongs to Laymro dynasty (9-15 century) as well as Mrauk U dynasty on the small hillock and proceed to Letsekan lake (Royal hand-washing lake). Visit to Shittaung temple. Shittaung meaning is 80,000 Buddha images in anticipation of the Buddha who will come into the future. And then very close to Shittaung temple is Andaw Thein Ordination Hall in which Buddha tooth-relic was enshrined. Visit to Dukkan Tein Ordination Hall built like a fortress. It is one of the Rakhine Museum because there are sixty-four kinds of hair style in relied and see also Langbankpyauk Pagoda, locally know as “plate pagoda” because there are some glaze flowers like plate. Sunset at Harrestaung Hill. Overnight at hotel in Mrauk U.

Day 04: Mrauk U – Sittwe (by car & boat)

After breakfast at hotel, we return to Sittwe by boat. On the way we will stop for Myo village, noted for their traditional Khami Cloth which are very neat and handsome. On arrival late afternoon in Sittwe. Transfer to your Hotel. Leisure at hotel for the rest of the day.
 

Day 05: Sittwe – Yangon (by car & flight)

After breakfast at hotel, we visit to Sittwe market, where people come and sell their fishes and farming products. At the market you can see Rakhine traditional longgyi. It is popular not only in Rakhine but also the whole Myanmar.It the time permit, visit to Buddha Image with golden face called Payagyi temple, Cultural Museum and so on. Transfer to airport for fly back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 06: Shopping & departure (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning at Gems mart and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport to departure.
