Yangon – Kyaing Tong - Yangon (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Shwe Kainnayi Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop. Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda is a colossal reclining Buddha. Visit to the city centre with the gilded 2500 years Sule Pagoda. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of China Town including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon – Kyaing Tong (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Yangon to Kyaing Tong. Check in to hotel and sightseeing in Kyaing Tong starts with Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, housing Mandalay Style Buddha image. Proceed to Shan lacquer ware. Then visit Standing Buddha image, Hot Sap, Akha center village and R.C.M church. Sunset on the One Tree Hill where a lone 245 years old Kanyin-byu (Diptero carpus Spp) tree stands. And then come back to the pottery village “Yan Gone” to observe the handicraft earthen pots of Shan tribe. Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

Day 03: Akha and Luhu village (by car)

Morning visit to Water Buffalo Market where buyers and sellers stand around seemingly doing nothing but Kyaing Tong for Taunggyi on the southern side of the town. Drive to “Ho Kyin” village, typical Akha tribe village. From here continue for another 30 minutes to Na Phi Phank village, where Lahu and Akha tribes living together. From there walk to Phata Akha village and “Pang Ma Phai” Akha tribe village to learn more about their daily life. Come back to the car to go Mong Zine (Khun Village) to see traditional Lahu Knives made by Lahu blacksmith. On the way back to hotel visit Joe Phyu “Wa village”. Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

Day 04: Loimwe village (by car)

After breakfast drive to “Akha village” 9km north-east of Kyaing Tong. Proceed to “Loimuwe” 33km away from Kyaing Tung. Loimwe which literally translated means “mistv mountain” is at an altitude of over 1,600 meters, above sea-level. It commanded magnificent view of the surrounding area and enjoys a temperate climate. Once an outpost of the British there remain many Colonial buildings and also a Catholic Churches. The main attraction along the way is the scenery on the ascent to Loimwe, which passes through forests, terraced rice fields. On the way to Loimwe you will have several stops to visit different villages. Wan Lun Shan village, walk and explore the native village life; Ho Lup Akha village where you can see the traditional Akha tribes with their colorful dresses; Nang Cho Wa village and Panwai Lahu village on the left and rights side or the road. Late afternoon you will be back in Kyaing Tong. Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

Day 05: Kyaing Tong – Yangon (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Kyaing Tung to Yangon by flight. Arrive Yangon and transfer to hotel. In the evening: visit to Botataung Pagoda, Nanthida jetty and watch the traffic on the Yangon River, Here luxury cruise liners come to berth at this jetty quite often. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 06: Shopping & departure (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning at Gems mart and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport to departure.
